Paul Kimberley and his wife Shirley have been connected with country music for over 30 years, either as listeners or dancers.
After getting into line dancing some 18 years ago they started teaching for Butlins during their holiday weeks and this is where the Disco was formulated.
Paul is now the face behind the Rhinestone Country Disco and as well as running his own Line Dancing and Country Music Club, with Shirley, every Sunday and Thursday can be seen every Friday at the 'Outpost' in Fleetwood and the first Saturday of every month at Glossop Renegades.
In 1999 Paul became DJ/Compere and - with Shirley - Dance Instructors at Kiln Park Holiday Centre's Tenby Country & Western Festival, where he has appeared twice a year since.

This year will be his third appearance at the Cocquet's Creek Country Music Festival in Northumberland and he made his first ever appearance, as a DJ, at Presthaven Sands in May 2007.
At the height of Line Dancing (when 'pop 'etc. began to take over) Paul & Shirley made a conscious decision to stick to their roots and only play Country Music. Maybe they lost work through it but they are proud to have made the decision and still hold this belief today with only Country Music being played on the Disco. With all his experience of Line Dancing and Country Music, Paul is in a unique position of being able to keep all Country Music fans happy. He can play for listeners, line dancers (his experience as a line dance instructor proves invaluable) and also for the Westerners, as he is frequently seen taking part in - and usually winning! - shoot outs and the trilogy.
In April 2007 Paul retired from his day job and now spends more time, along with Shirley, enjoying, promoting and playing his favourite music and dancing - that is, Country Music and Line Dancing.
